About the sex in comics thing, it isn't so much that there was sex in the comics, it's the way the women were portrayed in the comics. While I didn't read Catwoman, I read Red Hood, and Starfire isn't exactly flattering to women. Nor is she three dimensional, or really much more than a fucktoy to Red Hood and Speedy. It's unempowering to women everywhere when they're portrayed this way, and it's just not groovy to do this. Sorry, big on feminism.
But isn’t that just her character? I mean, it’s not like Wonder Woman or Batwoman are behaving in this manner.
